The HCBC was organized to foster local, regional and national amateur athletic competition. We fulfill this purpose through our programs. Our skill development programs are designed to improve the individual skill level of our athletes. We play basketball all year round.
COMPETITIVE TEAMS
Our competitive team travel season begins in the Spring. Teams participate in local tournaments as well as travel to both in-state and out-of-state tournaments.

Final make up tryouts for 6th grade boys will be held at Sertoma Gym located at 3301 Thornton Drive, Hoover, AL on Sunday, February 2 @ 7:00 pm.
All participants must be registered prior to participating and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

ELITE SQUAD
Elite Squad
The HCBC Elite Squad is an 8-week skill development program designed to teach the fundamentals of basketball to young athletes and prepare them for the next level of competitive basketball.
Skill training includes dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense.The Program is open to K-6th grade boy and girls.
First session will be held on March 3, 2025 at the Finley Center.
The registration fee for the Elite Squad is $275.

PREMIER SHOOTING ACADEMY
Premier Shooting Academy
The Premier Shooting Academy is designed to help athletes improve their shooting skills.
Participants will learn the mechanics of shooting and improve shooting techniques.
Each Academy consists of 6 workouts sessions with 250 shots per session. The Academy is open to athletes in the 6th grade and above.
The Academy cost is $350.

SKILLS ACADEMY
The HCBC Summer Skills Development Academy seeks to develop individual basketball skills, confidence, and overall understanding of the game.
The program includes strength & conditioning training, skill clinics, and small group training. In 2024 we will host Academy Sessions in the Summer, Fall, and the Winter.
Summer Academy
June 3rd - July 16th, 2024
The Summer Academy will train for six weeks, three days per week and is open to K-8 boys and girls. Program cost is $250.
Session Times:
Monday & Tuesday 6pm-8pm
Sundays (1hr) time varies according to age group.
Academy sessions will be held at Sertoma Gym and the Finley Center.
Summer Academy registration is closed.
Fall Academy
August 19th - October 1st, 2024
The Fall Academy will train for six weeks, two days per week and is open to K-8 boys and girls. Program cost is $200.

Monday & Tuesday 6pm-8pm
Academy sessions will be held at Sertoma Gym and the Finley Center.
Fall Academy registration is closed.
Winter Academy
November 2nd - December 15th, 2024
The Winter Academy will train for five weeks, two days per week and is open to K-8 boys and girls. Program cost is $150.

Saturday & Sunday 4pm - 6pm
Academy sessions will be held at Sertoma Gym.
Winter Academy registration is closed.
